Live in the Moment: You Are at Your Best Ever

Have you noticed this strange thing we often do?
We look at a photo of ourselves and feel unhappy. “My face looks tired.” “I look old.” “I am not attractive.”
We turn away from the mirror with a small sigh.
But then, years later, we find that same photo again.
And suddenly we say,
“Oh… I actually looked quite good.”
“I looked healthy.”
“I didn’t realise it at that time.”
Nothing in the photo changed.
Only our eyes changed.
Only our heart changed.
This moment, right now, is the same.
You are at your best ever, even if you cannot see it.
Your body is also at its best ever.
We often blame our body when it feels unwell. We feel angry with pain, illness, or diagnosis.
But the truth is, your body is always trying to protect you.
Even in serious illness, like tumor, the body is not your enemy. It is doing its best to keep you alive. It collects, stores, holds, and adapts. It makes difficult decisions for survival, quietly and wisely.
If your body were not so intelligent, you might not even be here today.
Living in the moment does not mean pretending everything is perfect. It means trusting that, right now, this moment is enough.
Do not worry too much about what has not come yet.
Do not desire more than what you truly need.
Do not postpone your life until “one day”.
One day is already here.
This breath. This body. This version of you.
You may look back one day and realise:
“This was a good time.”
“This was when I was strong.”
“This was when I was alive.”
So live in the moment. Because this moment is already the best ever.
